Bill Beckelman is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Coastlands in Eatontown, New Jersey. He grew up on the East Coast in Laurel, Maryland and moved to Southern California in 1985. It was there that he met Jesus Christ, inviting Him to be his Lord and Savior while listening to the Word of God on KWE, the radio station at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. He continued listening daily to sound teaching, deepening his relationship with the One True God who had apprehended his heart. Since then his life has never been the same. He began to attend Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa as a serious student. His passion for Christ led him to enroll in and graduate from CC Costa Mesa School of Ministry. He helped as a member of a support team for a Calvary Chapel church plant; helped to establish KWLK, a CC Christian radio station; taught at the CC Costa Mesa Bible College; and became an intern pastor at CC Costa Mesa. Ultimately, Bill responded to the call on his life to serve God in full-time ministry and was asked to serve at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa as an assistant pastor under Pastor Chuck Smith.
In 2002, God called Bill back to the East Coast and was sent out by CC Costa Mesa to pastor a Calvary Chapel in the coastlands of New Jersey. He is supported in ministry through the prayers and encouragement of his wife Candice, daughter, son-in-law, four grandchildren, a granddaughter-in-law, and two great grandsons.
Bill's heart is to make disciples just as he was discipled and grew in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. He teaches verse-by-verse by "simply teaching the Bible simply" so that others may come to know Jesus and learn to walk in His ways. His desire is to "Give glory to the LORD, and declare His praise in the coastlands." Isaiah 42:12.
The impact that radio has had in Bill's life gives him a deep appreciation for the power of God's Word from the pulpit on the air! His teachings are currently broadcast daily in New Jersey, New York, Northern California, Hawaii and Alaska, in hopes that others might get moored in sound doctrine and "Anchored in The Word."

Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
WE BELIEVE...WORSHIP OF GOD SHOULD BE SPIRITUAL.
Therefore: we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.
WE BELIEVE... WORSHIP OF GOD SHOULD BE INSPIRATIONAL.
Therefore: we give great place to music in our worship.
WE BELIEVE... WORSHIP OF GOD SHOULD BE INTELLIGENT.
Therefore: our services are designed with great emphasis upon teaching the Word of God that He might instruct us.
WE BELIEVE... WORSHIP OF GOD SHOULD BE FRUITFUL.
Therefore: we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have been truly worshipping Him.
